Responsibility for human and environment
Responsible action and sustainability are just as important to us as the quality of our products. To underline this and to draw attention to the importance of responsible cooperation, we have associated to the voluntary code of conduct of the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME). The Code is geared to responsible and fair conduct in all business relationships and areas. The BME code follows these guidelines:
- Combat corruption
- Combat child and forced labor
- Comply with antitrust rules for fair competition
- Respect for human rights
- Ensure fair working conditions
- Protect the environment and health
Committed to the environment
Our environment is a valuable asset. We are aware of our responsibility towards our environment and the surroundings in which we live. Coordinated processes and trained employees make their contribution to environmental protection every day. To maintain these processes, we maintain an environmental management system (TÜV Rheinland Umweltcheck / ISO 14001) which is monitored and audited annually by third parties.
Bronze medal for sustainability successes
In addition to certification by TÜV Rheinland, our commitment in the area of corporate social responsibility was awarded bronze by the EcoVadis ranking platform in 2022. Analyzed and evaluated were the environment, labor and human rights, ethical aspects as well as sustainable procurement - always in consideration of company size, location and industry sector. As one of the world's largest assessment monitors for sustainability rankings, EcoVadis uses the international sustainability standards of the United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000, as the basis for its methodology.
